Our aim at AINH is to provide the highest quality of training for massage therapy and other modes of holistic and natural healings. In addition to our full semester massage courses we have many wonderful seminars, special events, and interesting speakers that promote health and well being. 

Our wellness clinic provides quality student massages at a discount.  Acupuncture and holistic herbal remedies are also available through appointments with our state licensed acupuncturist.

Welcome students!  The following is the book list that you will need for the massage courses.  I hope that you will enjoy your semester and take away more than you ever hoped for from the class.    

Swedish Acupressure Course: ""

1.   The *four books you will need for the Swedish Acupressure Course are:  

  1. The Educated Heart, 2nd Edition by Nina Mcintosh
  2. Anatomy coloring workbook by: (3rd Edition)"Wynn Kapit; Paperback;
  3. (optional) Basic Clinical Massage Therapy: Integrating Anatomy and Treatment by: James H. Clay & David M. Pounds
  4. Mosby's Fundamentals Of Therapeutic Massage by: Sandy Fritz 3rd edition.

2.  You will need your massage table and massage table linen.  If you do not have your table the first week you can double up with someone who does have one.  You may purchase your tables at AINH at half the price from NRG tables.  

3.  Notebook and pen.   

Most homework is done online.  Books will only be needed in class for review on Friday evenings.

For the Advanced Massage Students;

1.   The four books you will need for the Deep Tissue Course are:

  1. The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief, Second Edition Clair Davies,
  2. Occupational Therapy Manual for the Evaluation of Range of Motion and Muscle Strength Donna Latella.
  3. Applied Kinesiology, A training Manual and Regerence Book of Basic Principles and Practice by: Geroge Goodheart
  4. *AINH Advanced Course Textbook by: Cheyanne Melvin & Jeff Weber
    • *can only be purchased at AINH, see front desk.
  5. Musculoskeletal Anatomy Coloring Book by: Joseph E. Muscolino

 

2.  You will need a massage table for the first week and we will use the massage table and chair for the second week.
